Bivouac

Bivouac.

Now that it’s all said and done, we demand a PART 2!

February 7, 2008

Okay… Our ride towards Munting Buhangin was a red bus… UNairconditioned bus. We were like sardines inside that bus because of our bags and the bus didn’t exactly look like a type of bus that you would like… But otherwise, it was fun.

When we got there, the first thing we did was to go inside the Bamboo Hall, for some briefings… Stuff to do… Something like that… And then we were ORDERED to go get some firewoods and a pole for our flag… We also arranged our tents and placed a fence around our tents.

We ate lunch. Washed our dishes.

We changed into our jogging pants - for safety purposes cause we’d get a lot of scrathes.

We were then grouped into 7 animals. I was in the GOAT Team.

We had a NASA activity. We rated stuff to be brought in the moon but we failed to survive in the moon. There was no way to survive in the moon.

Next, we created a cheer. And it came out the worst way… Oh well, maybe not the worst. Just the third to the worst. LOL, it was fun anyways.

Next was a lot of activities. First, we were at KALAS BUTO. We were supposed to untie the rope but we were not supposed to move our hands from the rope. We were great at unting it and also great at tieing it for the next group. The next activity… We were supposed to cross blindfolded, and avoid the balls… Next was the KAMBAL TUKO. You and your partner must cross without ringing the bell and getting an object from the middle. Next was the easiest… Because our first 3 members got the 3 balls. Next, we were at MOONWALK. Our feet were tied up and together and we were supposed to cross some hoops with MUD in it. Next was the ultimate MUD. OVER and UNDER. My legs and one arms was covered with MUD! It was fun, anyways…

Next was dinner time… But who cares about their food… It didn’t have the perfect taste in it. We’d rather throw it away, seriously…

Oh, and did I mention that our flag was stolen? Yes, it was stolen and we were supposed to steal it back. We succeded though. Celine and I wrote some stuff for the officers. Some kind of Mass, I think. And when we were about to finish, all the officers went out of the Bamboo Hall and then BAM! I stole the flag and the Josa ran back to the tent with it. Celine and I also ran, LOL.

Then we had the OST. We were tested using our 5 senses. And Holy crap I totally held on to our flag the whole freaking time. The officers were forcibly grabbing it from me but I would be honored to kick them away - especially when we were on their back - I would kick them. Anyway, the stupid sense of sight was tested first and we were so dumb to not to notice a LOT of things. Next was the sense of hearing. It was so freaking fast and we were supposed to list it in freaking order. And when we placed our blindfolds back, the instructor TRIED to steal the flag away from me, LOL, he didn’t. Next was the sense of taste. We almost threw up. But we were good at it, LOL. Also on the sense of smell, and I had colds at that time. I was totally sniffing and inhaling. We were also good at it. Next they TRIED to drag us away from our team and well, they didn’t. The sense of touch was horrible. I think it was only 8 items.

February 8, 2008

Happy Birthday Celine!

Yes, it was already midnight and we were still wearing the same clothes that we were wearing when we got there - except for the jogging pants. We took a bath during midnight and then soundly slept at 1:30 Am in our PJs. Chindee woke us up at 3:00 AM but we didn’t get up until 4:00 AM. We then changed into black t-shirts and jeans. We were SUPPOSED to get up at 4 but the instructors, I think, weren’t up until 6:00 AM and then we were ORDERED to change into out shorts in 5 minutes. Yeah, we panicked.

We had an exercise. MORNING EXERCISE. First, it was fun. But I think my lungs would fall of my ribs by the time we were jogging. I have asthma for God’s sake! And they were telling us to fight our asthma! Oh My GOD! What if we collapse there?! Are they still going to tell us to fight our asthma? Holy crap. Anyway, besides the jogging, the rest was fun.

We then had breakfast. I’d rather not talk about the food.

Next, we arranged our tents. And then completed some unfinished activities. Namely INVISIBLE MAZE. Then, the big surprise.

Ana lost her phone. Chindee reported it to Sir Leomar. Sir Leomar and some other officers searched our bags for the cellphone. They found it in Celine’s bag. They took Celine with them. And the BAM! It was a set-up. It was for Celine’s birthday. We had a cake and then went to her where she was crying and yelling, "EH KUNG KAYO KAYA KASUHAN!", "AANHIN KO NAMAN YAN EH KAYANG-KAYA KO BUMILI NYAN!". She was sill cyring when she saw the cake. And we were sure that she will NEVER forget that one.

We had lunch and - MYEH. I’d rather not talk about the food again.

That afternoon was the start of the so called extreme part of the bivouac… Well maybe not really extreme. First, they taught us how to use a compass and then killed a chicken in front of us. The best part was when the head of the chicken was took off, Sir Alex threw it towards us. LMAO.

Oh, did I mention we were ordered to be on our back and then belly under the feaking sun? Yeah.

Then, we went through a rough obstacle course. The best part was when we crawl under barb wires with mud and ants - big ants. The easiest part was the Tarzan thing.

We then had a land navigation. At first, we were scared to get lost because we don’t know how to read a compass. At course 3, we were lucky that our route is not that far. But we did manage to go through barb wire fence and lots of plants with lots of thorns. The result? We came in first place. Yey!

Next was the river crossing. It burns so much in the ’singit’. It fraaking hurts. But the one with two ropes and three ropes were easy.

Rapelling! Yay! Thanks to this, I have lots of scrathes but it was worth it. It was getting dark by the time we were rapelling and it was so hard to go back to the top of the cliff. Even harder than actually rapelling. I even had a wound. I just didn’t realize that it was blood until I touched it with my gloved hand. It was definitely blood.

Next, we killed a chicken. Thumbs up to Celine for doing all the hard work. She’s really brutal, LOL. We then cooked it with special help from our teachers, Sir Jess, T. Ann and T. Elvie. For the fire, LOL.

Then, the squad leaders were told that there would be a harboring. I didn’t join cause we’d just be very tired anyways and I have ASTHMA. So we slept in the tents, making sure that NO ONE would enter the tents and steal our stuff.

February 9, 2008

The boys came back wearing only their undies, the girls, not wearing shoes and in their shorts.

Next, we had a boodle fight. Yes, that was breakfast. The longanisa was so hard and the rice, I think, was from last night. Oops, I think I said too much.

Next was the ever fun swimming! I don’t care if we got darker, its the best! We also had a tug-of-war per team. We won, LOL. Also, there was a game called the patriot. It was cool, we were throwing ice bags filled with salt water at each other.

After that, we took a bath and then there was an awarding ceremony. GOAT TEAM WON!

We ate lunch and I’d rather not talk about it again.

We went home after that, damn it.

But on our way, we brought pasalubongs and fruits for T. Ann, in exchange for our flag. Our bus even overheated, LOL.

To sum it all up, MAMATAY NA SA INGGIT LAHAT NG HINDI MAG-BIBIVOUAC!

Whattaday… Bivouac, PGH, Baclaran Version

October 12th, 2007 by donna0018

I’m broke… I get broke everytime we go somewhere related to Thesis. Why is that so? Well, it’s because we get to travel around Cavite and Manila just because of a freaking Thesis… great.

Anyway, my day started out right. We’re going to have a FTX!!! Isn’t CAT the best subject ever or what?! It’s going to be so much fun. Actually, we have to sacrifice our Field Trip to have a bivouac but who would want a field trip compared to a once in a lifetime experience called bivouac? It would be ten times better and ten times more memorable than a field trip. And where would we go for our field trip? Villa Escudero… Oh, please… I can got there whenever I want but not to a bivouac.

And then there’s PGH. OMG it’s my first time to go to Manila WITHOUT my mother! It’s so awsome and exciting. It rained… so hard and I was the only one who has an umbrella. LOL! We were WET!

Chagrin again… The freaking office was closed. Because it’s a holiday… Well… It happens…

We even went to Baclaran and it was really dirty. And my paper bag was like… oh, I don’t want to talk about that paper bag.

Ok, the fun part about Baclaran is… "Ms. Red," OMG!!! Rissa once again caught somebody’s eye!!! ROTFLMAO Way to go Ris, strike 2… I wonder what will happen tomorrow?

Next, Lilian finally posted the lyrics to the songs of her new album. I’m really sad that I am not capable of buying her CD because… 1) I don’t think it’s available here in the Philippines already, 2) I don’t have enough money. Aw, that’s sad. It’s not even available on Limewire yet!

Tomorrow, National Library and UST mode! I’m gonna be broke again! Please let money come out of nowhere!

If We Were A Movie

October 2nd, 2007 by donna0018

Trish stood in front of her locker, trying to remember her combination. 12-18-07, she thought. It was her birth date for year 2007.

“Hey there Blondie,” someone form behind said.

“Randy, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me “Blondie”?” Trish asked annoyingly. It’s not that she hated her hair. She just doesn’t like the sound of “Blondie”; it makes her fell like she’s dumb.

“Sorry Trish,” Randy said, looking like a little puppy. “So, you want to go watch a movie on Saturday night?” he asked, changing the topic. Uh oh, there you go again talkin’ cinematic.

“We just watched movie last Saturday,” Trish protested, grabbing her Chemistry and English book from her locker.

“But, you’ve got to go with me or else Ashley will ask me out, again,” Randy pleaded and then, began to put his lips. Yeah you, you’re charming, got everybody star struck.

Randy is a heartthrob. Every other girl wants to go out with him but unfortunately for them, he does not want to. So, instead of going out with someone else, he would most likely go hang out with his best friend. I know, how you always seem to go For the obvious Instead of me.

“Fine, but you should pay for everything,” Trish said. She hates herself for always agreeing when he starts to pout. But get a ticket and you’ll see. “I’m going to be broke if I go to the movies every week.”

“Thank a million!” Randy exclaimed, hugging her tight. “I’ll pick you up at 7, okay?”

“Yeah, see you,” Trish answered.

XOXOXOXOXO

Saturday night was like a normal one with Randy. They watched “The Messenger”. She really didn’t mind what movie they watch. She never gets Goosebumps from a scary movie. They were like that until a new girl from Los Angeles came. From then, Randy changed. They never hang out that much like before.

“I think he’s into Maria,” Trish told her lab partner, Lilian. Lilian was the one she shares girl stuffs to. They do girl things together.

“Nah, I don’t think so,” Lilian said, writing their observation on their experiment.

“But he asked her out,” Trish said, not paying any attention to their experiment.

“So? You know how guys want to make an impression on the new girls,” Lilian said in a low voice so their teacher who was standing behind them wouldn’t hear her.

“But he has never done that before,” Trish said, also in a low voice.

“Are you telling me you’re jealous of Maria?” Lilian asked teasingly.

Then it hit her. Was she jealous? She thought about if for a while. Then, as soon as the water they were heating started to boil, she was sure of one thing, she was jealous.

XOXOXOXOXO

“Hey! Trish!” Randy called her aloud. Yeah, yeah, when you call me I can hear it in your voice. “I haven’t seen you for a while,” he said when he finally caught up on her.

“Well, you’ve been busy with that new girl Maria,” Trish said, not wanting to let him feel that she was jealous of Maria.

“Yeah, about her,” Randy started, Oh sure, want to see me and tell me all about her. “We’re going out for a movie this Saturday, what movie would you suggests?” he asked her.

Trish was stunned. She didn’t know what to say. “I… I don’t… You just ask her when you get to the cinemas,” Trish managed to say. La, la, I’ll be acting through my tears I guess you’ll never know That I should win An Oscar for this scene I’m in.

XOXOXOXOXO

“Lil, help…” Trish said as they started to walk towards home. They decided to walk to burn more calories. At least, that’s what Lilian wants. Prom was approaching. Trish agreed because it would give them time to talk about her problems.

“Trish, you’ll just have to go find another date for the prom,” Lilian said. She wasn’t good with giving advices but sometimes, something really helpful comes out of her mouth even though she doesn’t realize it.

“Easy for you to say, John Cena asked you. Anyway, this isn’t about the prom, this is about us. I mean, I feel like he already forgot me and it’s all about that Maria now,” Trish said in a sad voice.

“You know, girls don’t chase boys. Boys chase us. One day, he’ll wake up realizing that you right there,” Lilian said.

“You do realize that you give a hell of advice,” Trish said.

“Well, just don’t make a fool of yourself coming to him and telling him everything you feel. Let him come to you first,” Lilian said with a smirk.

“What if he doesn’t?” Trish asked.

“What if he does?” Lilian asked, raising an eyebrow.

XOXOXOXOXO

Wish I could tell you there’s a twist Some kind of hero in disguise. Lilian knows Randy also likes Trish. He was just a coward not to say it. He managed to tell Lilian but he can’t say it to Trish. Lilian doesn’t want to get between them by telling Trish that Randy likes her and vice versa. She knows that one day, both of them would have the courage and speak up.

XOXOXOXOXO

“Hey there Trish,” Randy was standing behind her.

“Hey to you too,” Trish replied.

“I was thinking if you could go to lunch with me. Will you?” Randy asked.

“Okay, it’s been a while since we last had lunch together,” Trish smiled. And we’re together it’s for real, now playing.

XOXOXOXOXO

“So, you already asked Maria to be your date at the prom?” Trish asked, wishing he would tell her no.

“Actually, no,” Randy replied.

Trish was happy although she doesn’t want him to know she was happy. “Why? Are you planning to ask someone else?” Trish hoped he would ask her.

“Actually, yes,” Randy took a deep breath. “I was thinking if I could take you to the prom. That is, if nobody asked you out yet,” while Randy was saying this, he looking down.

“Nobody asked me. What about Maria?” Trish asked, not really wanting to hear about her.

“Maria? My guy friends just put me up on her. I don’t really like her but I thought I might like her in the process,” Randy explained. “But, it looks like there will always be one girl in my heart.”

“And who might that be?” Trish asked innocently.

“Come on Trish; don’t tell me you don’t know it’s you!” Randy blurted out.

Trish blushed. She finally heard it. Randy likes her too.

“So you don’t know it?” Randy asked. He was a little embarrassed.

“Well, I was hoping you do,” Trish replied.

“So, back to the topic, will you be my date to the prom?” Randy asked. He was holding her left hand with his right hand.

“I’d love to,” Trish answered. Wish I could tell you there’s a kiss Like something more than in my mind I see it Could be amazing.

With that, Randy kissed her on the cheek. He doesn’t want to go to detention for Public Display of Affection.

XOXOXOXO

If we were a movie You’d be the right guy And I’d be the best friend That you’d fall in love with in the end We’d be laughing Watching the sunset Fade to black Show the names Play the happy song. Lilian finished her performance. The principal loves her voice and spent a long time convincing her to sing at the prom. Lilian agreed when the principal told her she would get the lead role on the next Musical.

Then, the DJ played a slow music. Students started to fill the dance floor, dancing with their dates.

“Come on, let’s dance,” Trish said to Randy.

“Sure, as long as you’ll teach me how,” Randy replied. “I don’t want to step on you.”

“I’ll be fine,” Trish said convincingly. “We’ll both be fine.”

If we were, you’d be right, and I’d be… We would laugh, watch the sun… Or in their case, listen to the slow music and dance along…

Whattaday… Thesis/TLE Version

October 1st, 2007 by donna0018

It’s been a while since I last updated my blog. Don’t blame me - blame school. But now, I’m not going to whine about how sucky school is. Thanks to school, I was able to do a lot of things…

To get to the point, last Saturday, we had a blast! Crash visit… chagrin… to a beautiful project. Let’s enumerate the places we’ve been to.

7 - Eleven
We were supposed to meet there at 7:00 AM but, most of us were late - including me. Then, since AJ didn’t have a signature, he almost *not telling cause I love my dear life*. There were a lot of beggar kids who almost scared Jude to death. (Ay, tae!) LMAO. Thanks to Kea for the directions to T. Ann’s house.

Molino Homes

Crash Visit Pt. 1

T. ANN’S HOUSE
Farenheit St., the house next to the abandoned house next to the tank. Go Clarice! She was like, "Tao po…" LMAO. They went inside, got the signature and then, T. Ann did the us the biggest favor - she accompanied us to Ms. Nhor’s house (with Reign). Along the way, there was an Ilonggo conversation which I was able to understand. Gamay-gamay, buot-buot… etc.

Crash Visit # 2

MS. NHOR’S HOUSE
We got the signature and left. As simple as that.

We said goodbye to T. Ann and to her daughter and left for De La Salle University - Dasmariñas.

On The Way
Somebody was like, "Babaeng naka-orange, ang ganda mo!" OMG Rissa! LMAO. We we’re totally paranoid while crossing the highway. We didn’t wait for the light to be red, that’s why. We retouched in the jeep! LMAO. Picture takings in the jeep too, LMAO.

DLSU - Dasma
AJ left his ID. *Hay naku…* We walked a very long walk. I felt like I’m in college, LOL. Somebody even asked where was which. Of course, we didn’t know. We didn’t even know where we were going. We searched for the library but we didn’t find anything in the library! DAMN IT!!!

In The Jeep
I almost fell asleep. That was a long ride! Well, why would a jeep costing P18 not be long?

SM Bacoor
We ate at Pinoy Toppings. The rice was like - extra large. We bought a CD - a boring CD - charged it on my beloved HSBC credit card (2nd use). We bought ponytails for our project, charged it again (3rd use).

On The Way To Kathlyn’s House
We almost freaked out cause we don’t know what cab to ride in. I almost fell asleep.

TLE Mode
We made 20 pairs of absolutely freakin’ beautiful earrings, that is also a ponytail! We also completed out documentation.

At Home
Because of that very exhausting day, I fell asleep while watching Jeff Hardy and Candice Michelle vs. Shelton Benjamin and Beth Phoenix. Honestly, when I woke up, I was like, "I wasn’t able to watch John Cena vs. Jonathan Coachman! Damn it!"

CURRENT UPDATES
- Survived the grueling defense.
- Still praying for a typhoon.

Umbrella…

August 31st, 2007 by donna0018

A lot of things happened and I wasn’t at all able to write in my freakin’ blog. I was just tired, knowing that NO ONE is reading this. But then, Rissa told me that she reads blogs… Damn it though, no comments…

Let’s have a recap of what happened:

August 15
Damn it… ELA was so freakin’ hard I think I lost part of my brain… The worst part is, no matter how hard I try to study, there is always something that will surely screw me up. tsk tsk. TLE was easy. I’m not bragging but it really was easy. We had the biggest surprise of our lives during Calculus. Take home Periodical Test! Since when did you hear of such thing? So freaking awsome…

August 16
Dana’s birthday… HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANA!!! There were no classes though, so we never actually greeted her in person… Just over the phone.

Suspension of classes would continue until Monday. Fun things happened. Part of me was happy that there were no classes but part of me wants to beat the hell out of Egay. I have been studying Physics, Computer and PE and then they’re going to tell us that there are no classes?!?! Come on! You should tell it to us before we even study… The fun part is that we chatted with THEM!!! The THEM you’ll never know because I know that you will just be like, "No way, it can’t be THEM!!!" Whatever…

August 21
Part of my brain rotted while taking our Physics exam. Computer was OK. But hell, when I was answering PE I was like, "Damn! Can this thing be easier???" It was so freakin’ easy that I nailed it to the ground. PE is going down!!! I told myself that I’m going to nail Physics but apparently, I wasn’t able to. Don’t worry, I’m going to nail it sometime.

August 22
Why the hell do we have no break before CLVE?!?! I screwed up and that’s the reason… tsk tsk. Even though, I nailed Math… WOOT WOOT!!!

August 23
Three memorization-based subjects in one freakin’ day!!! Not to mention, Practical Test. AP was hard… When I received the exam, I was so glad with the result because it was HARD!!! Talk about HARD… Filipino… I was like - writing and writing and reading a very very long story… Big miracle is that these two subject were two of my keys to SummerSlam. CAT… We escaped crawling again!!! We’re always like that… LMFAO We’re almost the goat Platoon again… But that’s just almost…

August 24
Sad part because most of our teachers returned the Periodical Exams…

August 25
Mock test… We also went home early. And we can’t even go anywhere! Our teacher called our homes and told them that we will be going home early. Awww… They care about us…

August 27
The biggest party of the Summer!!! SummerSlam!!! Gosh!!! Rey Mysterio is back!!! When he came out, there were pyros and we had a body paint. Silver body paint. When I saw hime, I was like, "Were are his tattoos? Is that really Rey?". Of course, he won… Triple H was also back!!! By his entrance, one can conclude that he is indeed the husband of the Head of the Creative Department. His entrance was amazing. There were even Latin words, "Genibus Nitito Canus" which means "On your knees dog" - I think. Anyway, the crowd exploded when Stone Cold Steve Austin came out!!! Everyone knew what would happen next, a stunner to MVP!!! John Cena vs. Randy Orton was amazing… For once, I thought Randy was going to win. He even RKO-ed Cena! I so thought that he was going to win. But the Champ is still JOHN CENA!!!

August 28
NCAE. For a second I thought all I could answer was all about SummerSlam. I didn’t study… LMFAO. We were stuck in the classroom for almost 6 freakin’ hours!!!

As of now, we’re having a great dilemma regarding Noli Me Tangere. Screw Jose Rizal in the first place!!! I never liked that stupid one-sided doctor/genius/abnormal. Screw you Rizal!!!

This is entitled "Umbrella" because of Mandy Moore’s version of Umbrella which is way better than Rihanna’s… Go Mandy! You can stand under my umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh…

HSBC Credit Card

August 10th, 2007 by donna0018

OMG, I just got my credit card, my supplementary credit card. When I got home, Ate Edlyn told me that I got a letter. I friggin’ thought it was from De La Salle - Dasmariñas but it was not. It was form HSBC - complete with plastic. I think they know that it will get caught in the storm, lol. Anyway, I don’t have anything to do with it, though. It’s not like I’m a big money spender. Blah, useless credit card. I would be too good to spend though… Just for emergencies, I guess…

Also, I will be on hiatus… Periodical Tests are coming up. I don’t want to fail…

HIATUS

WALANG PASOK!!!

August 7th, 2007 by donna0018

How great naman this day… Sa wakas… Wala ring pasok dahil sa bagyo… May bagyo nga ba?

Eto na… Matino na ako…

Last night, I hoped that classes will be suspended today. It was raining so hard and we had lots of quizzes and a periodical test for today. School sucks sometimes… That’s when I thought years ago but now, school sucks all the time. (You can’t sue…)

Then, when I woke up, I was still hoping that classes will be suspended. But hell no, it wasn’t (yet). Our school service was late so then again, I thought that classes were suspended. When we were on our way to school, there was a minor flood, something that wouldn’t harm you - oustide Town and Country and also on the way to school. That time, I can assure that we will be sent home early.

When I arrived at school, I got my things from the locker - responsible me… lol… I did my assingment in Math which I failed to do last night because I forgot my friggin’ book in my locker. I did it with a BIG help from Erika…

Then, our teachers kinda told us that classes are kinda suspended. In short, go home… We rejoiced. We went home before we could even great our teachers "Goog Morning."

It was so cool…

The worst thing about being a commuter is the rain. I hate the rain. My newly shined shoe got wet, my pants got wet (yung dulo lang naman), my bag kinda got wet. It was still fun… I would prefer that than to stay at school.

Oh my, the rain is getting stronger. I hope this continues until tomorrow - maybe until Friday. LOL.

When the rain falls…
It’s like heaven crying…

Back from UP

August 5th, 2007 by donna0018

Just came from UP Diliman. It’s not really the best school for me. The environment is so not for learning. There are squaters… Bah gawd!

The room that we were in was airconditioned. Thank God! But it was not really cold. It was still hot.

The questions were - no comment. My head didn’t ache. My stomach grumbled during the Science part. No worries - C2 was the answer.

I hope that our school will be considerate and declare a holiday tomorrow - which is highly impossible. Never in a million years would that come true.

If I pass, I will be the most thankful person in the whole world. That is IF I pass.

UPCAT

August 4th, 2007 by donna0018
